About the Role:
Rapidops is looking for a talented BigCommerce developer. As a BigCommerce developer, you will be the key member of the eCommerce development team, focusing on creating a fully functional BigCommerce website. You will be responsible for developing new custom functionality and customizing the existing developed functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Developing eCommerce site using BigCommerce Platform.
- Extending BigCommerce functionalities to add complex customizations using BigCommerce Handlebars, Storefront APIs, Stencil util-API, GraphQL and third-party APIs.
- Integrating third-party apps and APIs in the sites.
- Working with version control systems such as GIT / SVN
- Optimizing site for Google page speed, core web vital, and SEO.
- Producing high-quality work with a strong focus on detail
- Find and implement solutions to complex client requirements independently
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the BigCommerce platform
- Expert in BigCommerce theme development and customization
- Hands-on experience with BigCommerce Stencil framework, BigCommerce theme development, and customization
- Comfortability working with Storefront APIs and Stencil util-APIs
- Proficient in JavaScript and JavaScript based libraries
- Solid grip over testing and debugging using browser console and external tools
- Able to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
- A great attention to detail and be highly organized
- Great technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent logical thinking and collaborative skills
- A minimum 1 year of experience in BigCommerce website development
- HTML/CSS proficiency will be a plus
- Good communication is desirable
